My son and I have thought about a longer treatment center experience, (he has serious court issues pending). The ones I have checked here in VA do not accept MAT. He is on MAT.
I love that you spent the time to check into the details of the treatment center and what they had to offer as far as participation in fun adrenaline producing activities. This is something I have never thought about asking but it makes so much sense, my 22yr old son seeks this out in his life, always has but has gotten sidetracked with SUD. But if someone that thrives on taking those risks, I think it could be a good way to remind them that they can have fun sober.
